How to connect Checkbox to Shopify

Step-by-step guide

1. 1Connect your Shopify store

   Sign up at app.ua-checkout.com → “Connect a store” → Shopify. Yourself (10–15 minutes): on dev.shopify.com/dashboard, signed in as the store owner, create an app (Create app), paste the App URL, Allowed redirection URLs and Scopes the dashboard shows, click Release → Install app, and copy the Client ID and Client Secret into the dashboard. Or press “We'll connect it for you”: leave the store address and approve the collaborator access request in Shopify, and the team connects it for free.

2. 2Turn the checkout on

   The checkout script installs itself in the store; the theme stays as it is. In the “Basics” tab first choose the «Тест» mode, check an order and turn the checkout on for everyone. Receipts go out for orders from the UA Checkout page, and on Pro and in the trial also for orders from Shopify's standard checkout (the “Assistant for Shopify's standard checkout” card).

3. 3Get the register licence key and the cashier PIN

   my.checkbox.ua → «Каси» → your register → licence key; «Касири» → the cashier PIN. To try it first without real receipts, use the details of a Checkbox test register.

4. 4Open the “Receipts, CRM, SMS” tab

   UA Checkout dashboard → the store's “Settings” → the “Receipts, CRM, SMS” tab → the “Checkbox (PRRO fiscal receipts)” card → “Configure”.

   

5. 5Paste the key and PIN and choose when receipts go out

   The register licence key, the cashier PIN and, if you like, a receipt header; automatic receipts for online card payments (“yes” by default) and for cash on delivery once the parcel is collected by waybill (“no” by default). Press “Verify and save”: UA Checkout checks the key and PIN with Checkbox and turns the integration on.

   

6. 6Receipts go out by themselves, or by hand when needed

   For a card payment the receipt goes out right after payment, for cash on delivery once the parcel is collected (if you turned it on). By hand: “Orders” → the “⋯” menu of an order → “Issue receipt”. A retry never creates a second receipt; the order shows “Receipt issued” with a link to the receipt.
